The Ecole du Ski Fantastique was founded by 4 mountain guides: Denis Bertholet, Pierre Cretton, Patrick Gailland, Bernard Polli and 3 ski teachers: André Guinnard, Roger May and Gilbert May in 1979.

At that time, there was only one Swiss Ski School per resort. The Ecole du Ski Fantastique thus became the first parallel school in Valais and the second one in Switzerland.

Why a second school in Verbier? Differences of opinion and, above all, the fact that there were only group lessons in the mornings and private lessons in the afternoons. Yet some of our customers wanted to go out for the day with their guides or instructors, either on or off the slopes, whether in Verbier or in the surrounding areas.

After more than 45 years, many things have changed in the ski and mountain business, but only one thing has remained unchanged: the quality of all services, which should be written with a capital Q. It’s certainly what has made the “Fantastique” such a success over the years, and will continue to be so for a long time to come.
